Is there anything in the HAC (High altitude compsator) that can wear out over time?

I ma asking as I have a lot of smoke in high altitude. It might just be normal, but is there anything I can check in the HAC?

the diaphragm might be done, i think thats all that is in there, but ive never looked
my 3b one looks pretty simple

I just do not see a diaphragm on the 1hz?

i should say pneumatic bellows/gaskets/rubber i guess
thats prob whats in mine too

there must be a test procedure, i assume vacuum on the one side of the bellows
there is probably a manual on this forum in the resources section somewhere for the 1hz injection pump

I replied to the other thread that you started regarding your rough running, suggesting a fuel supply issue. If the HAC failed, it would just lead to sea-level quantities of fuel going into the engine which would not explain your engine cutting out, putting out blue smoke and misfiring.
