First off, Hi! to all of you. My name is Bill Woodard. I am the general manager of Arlington Motorcar Service in Tysons Corner Va. We build trucks.......
The reason for the post. Buddy King of ARB fame has just left my office. (we are a ARB supplier) At the end of our meeting we discussed ARB doing the research and production of a hidden winch kit for the front of the LC100 and/or the 200.

So, fed back please if you would. A few things come to mind myself,
Price. By that, I talking about the price a buyer is going to be able to shell out?
Fitting. Can the average Joe do the work?
When would it be available?

There are many more.....

I am considering have them build it for us.

Here's the deal. 1/ min order 250 units
2/ 8/10 month lead time
3/ Establish retail cost that is viable

ANY feed back on this would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance. Bill Woodard

Hi Bill...and welcome to Mud!

After having done a hidden winch plate from a popular aftermarket manufacturer...I believe that in the case of a LC winch plate..."if you build it, they will come". Several advantages of a winch plate are a much cleaner look, a reduction in weight (vs. a full bumper) which may lead to having to do a minimal upgrade to the front suspension, and added assurance (and insurance!) in a an off road scenario to name a few. My winchplate cost about $330 shipped to my door.

Very few things rival ARB's R&D, and although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, ARB comes up with some intriguing designs, and many times the parts rival or exceed the "factory installed" look.

I did my install on a 2010 4Runner, but can't imagine the install on a LC being a huge difference. The front fascia simply comes off with the removal of about 8-10 screws and fasteners, and it was straight forward from there. It's a clean look, and there was actually enough room to add a set of LED lights next to either side of the winch. I was very happy with the finished product.

Here's a pic of it...

You might want to also post this in the 100/200 section to see what the Muddled Masses say...

Best of luck!

Pat
