Has anyone replaced their ARB fog lights (IPF 900) with HID bulbs? It looks like they're available but $143 for replacement bulbs  I have HID for my headlights and would like to put ones on the fog lights, but I didn't know what range of the spectrum the replacement HID bulbs were. Can anyone help with look and sources other than ARB? I have the ARB Sahara.

thanks

I have the Sahara bar as well and have looked at replacing the bulbs with HIDs. I dont recall the bulb size but from what I remember there is a C size in that same bulb that is supposed to work. Find the bulb size and do a google search for that C size bulb and you will find some cheaper alternatives.

Post up the finished project.

I just installed a pair of 900xs HID spots on my 100. They were OEM and not conversion, but conversion is pretty simple. You can use your ipf harness as the draw will not be more than 110 watts, you will need 2 ballasts, 2 pigtail connectors to connect ballast to harness and 2 bulbs with connectors. There are vendors on australia that have kits, but you can piece meal parts off of eBay too.

Which 900 model do you have? Most of them are going to be a H3C bulb. PM me and I'll see if we have any H3C's and older ballasts you can have for dirt cheap. I would not put HID's in the OEM ARB fog lights. They can barely provide a descent beam patter with halogens.
