SOLD!
1998 Lexus LX470
Mileage: 188,xxx
I bought this LX470 in factory form in 2016 with 146k miles on it. In the 4 years since, I have been extremely happy with it, however I need a daily driver that is a bit more practical for my current commute situation. This vehicle has never left me stranded, never given me any major issues, and has been an amazing all-around utility vehicle. I’ve completed all the milestone maintenance as well as replaced wear and tear items when needed. I change the oil every 4,000 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic. It is my daily driver, so mileage is likely to increase.
- Heated front seats
- Heated/folding side mirrors
Maintenance completed during my ownership:
- CV Axles replaced at 150,000 miles
- Timing Belt & Water Pump replaced at 180,000 miles
- Valve Cover Gasket replaced at 187,000 miles
- Upper/Lower oil pan gaskets replace at 187,000 miles
- Coolant system gone through/refreshed at 187,000 miles
- Transmission, Differentials, and Transfer case fluids changed at 180,000 miles
- New cross drilled front brake rotors at 180,000 miles
- New Brembo brake pads all 4 corners at 180,000 miles
- 5 New Falken Wildpeak MT01 315/75r16 at 180,000 miles (includes full size spare which gets rotated with the rest during oil changes)
- Rebuilt shocks at 170,000 miles
- Exhaust resonator replaced at 180,000 miles
Modifications:
- Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 2 shocks w/ remote reservoirs
- OME springs/Torsion bars
- Nitrogear UCA’s
- Slee Blueberry front bumper
- Slee dual carrier rear bumper (w/ ladder)
- White Knuckle Off-road rock sliders
- Slee diff drop bracket
- Ironman 4x4 rear spring spacers
- Slee (Spidertrax) wheel spacers
- Frontrunner roofrack
- Smittybilt X20 12k winch w/ synthetic line
- Smittybilt Awning
- Safari Snorkel
- Ruff Tuff custom fitted seat covers w/ molle backing & rifle scabbard. Also has pistol pocket on drivers side seat
- Kenwood head unit w/ Garmin GPS
- Rolled front fender pinch welds for 35’s
- Custom LED lights mount for Slee front bumper
- 4x round LED lights (off-brand, but I’ve had them running for about 3 years now with no issues and they work great for my use)
- Weather tech floor mats (front, rear, cargo)
- Blue Sea fuse block for future auxiliary electrical expansion
- Landcruiser front turn signal swap w/ proper connectors
Items that come with the vehicle:
- 5x 285/75r16 Cooper STT Maxx tires. 4 used with about 10k miles tread remaining. 1 never touched the ground
- Complete alternate suspension (shocks, springs, torsion bars) for use when rebuilding shocks to minimize vehicle down time
- ARB Differential breather kit (new)
- Some random recovery equipment (tow rope, shackles, snatch block, etc)
- Hi-Lift jack (mounted on bumper)
- LED light bar and 2x LED cubes
- Backup camera
- BOTH jump seats (currently stored in garage)
- Probably a few other small items I’m forgetting
Price: $16,500
This vehicle has been thoroughly cared for with all of the major maintenance completed. It is a very clean example of an LX470, however it is a 22-year-old vehicle with some minor blemishes, no trail stripes though. No major off-roading. Just light trails and camping. Would make a fantastic overland rig with drawers/fridge/solar setup.
