and i'm friggen addicted to cruisers... I just can't shake it.

Sorry I haven't been on here in 4 months but had some health issues pop up at the start of the year and pretty much stopped all social media (except for FB to post funny pics and talk to friends and family through messenger but I didn't really ever read my timeline so to some it may seem like I just stopped talking to them) and just took time for Andrea and I.... 4 months isn't very long but it seems like i've been off of Mud for like a friggen year or something.

Anyway ever since I sold my beast i've had an itch for another cruiser.... and i'm not the only one Andrea brings it up all the time. Its been getting stronger and stronger lately and a month back I almost pulled the trigger and bought a very heavily built 100 from a used car lot that was too good of a deal to pass up (locker, rack, bumpers, sliders, skid plates, 4.88 gears, drawers.... but I somehow did because I don't want a car payment.

Andrea also wants us to downsize to 2 vehicles since we live smack dab in downtown Seattle now and parking is expensive as all hell.

So the Jetta is going to be sold next week and the suburban will soon (don't want to sell it but it won't fit in any parking garages and just sits 50 miles from me) and then I will see what cash I have from those two sales and search out another cruiser... most likely an 80 or newer if money allows because there will be some times I need to drive it 7 hours for work through mountain passes in icy conditions so I need comfort, reliability and the full time 4wd (awd) of the 80s and above are great in those conditions. The jetta had snow chains on it for the first time quite a few times over winter and some of those passes are just scary to be driving in blizzard conditions.

Anyway i'm sure the way this group likes to talk I have 100000 posts and threads to read and catch up on. I'm sure @forrest5000 has about 12 cruisers by now. Hell @custyota may have even bought one by now.

Also sorry to the 10 PM's I had from people in this group my email that is linked to this account I never use anymore so never got an email telling me I had a PM, but they have all been replied to now.

Can't wait to read what everyone has been up to lately.

Well i did miss the ONSC fam quite a bit. I've been busy though. Work and a family trip to the UK for my grand mother's 90th.

Other than that not much to report.

A few pics from the UK.

Glad to hear you're feeling better

Where are our pics of the 100?

the really built one?.... Will have to dig for them, different phone and I'm not sure I saved them anywhere but ill look. Basically every mod for a hundo you can throw at a hundo short of an sas. Had a blower on it also. Was at a used car lot and the owner/salesman didn't know the first thing about it.

I did look at another hundred today though that Andrea found. Not as built but a good price. I'll upload those pics later

Still alive and kicking, finally working again. But not the best of jobs, but its an income... and the TLC is still parked waiting for it to be sold.

Good luck finding a new cruiser! Go with a 100 you won't regret it for DD nor overland adventures.

I mis-read the section about the 100. Thought you bought one.

that may come to pass soon, never really been a hundred guy, always liked the way they looked though. It seems to fit my needs currently though as an expo/light wheeler that is pretty rock solid reliable and I can still DD and the big one that makes the burban no longer practical is I need to fit in parking garages for at least the next few years.

All the great JDM deals that were around this time last year have shot up in price, although a well priced one does pop up from time to time in the Seattle area but records are kinda spotty on those ones now.

So this is the Hundo that Andrea is pushing me to get, I think she has more of a cruiser addiction than I have.

181k, factory locked, clean interior, second 90k service just done, engine bay is cleaner than a brand new 200, ARB bar with HID lights.

Talked them down to a ridiculous price due to things like the dent and the busted tail light.

Don't like the wheels so will find someone to trade for oem's or just wait for these tires (about 70%) to wear out and find some oem's in the mean time. I may plastidip the wheels satin black in the for now and I wouldn't mind them so much. Everything goes to plan this will be in my parking garage before I fly to LA on friday.

Is it just coincidence that Seattle Al shows back up and we are getting a week straight of rain?

;) Good to see you back on the forum bud!

Ha! and we have had a week of pretty good weather... my plan worked.

This pic was taken on friday by the local photographer that sells his pictures in the Market.

That second one is my build plan over the next 4 years or so...... If I suddenly have cash fall from the sky a blueberry style build will be in order.
