Hi from an Aussie 75 series owner

New guy on the block, been a lurker here for years and have decided to join the best Cruiser site in the world. I already know a few names from other forums in Australia.

I have a 1989 75 series Troopy that was originally 3F powered. When the 3F died I fitted a HSV 350 Stroker V8. Until mice ate the engine wiring loom she was my daily driver. Other mods are 2" Tough Dog Ralph suspension lift, 35" BFG Mud Terrains, LPG, PWR alloy radiator, Davies Craig EWP.

I am currently looking for a 4L60E to go behind the V8 and eventually want to fit a pop top to her as well as a rear drawer system. Will post picks when I can get some (I'm not much of a pic taker).

The clue is in the word "stroker". LS1s are not strokers, the HSV 350 (HSV never produced a 355) are a stroker.

I've just bought a 4L60E to fit behind my engine. Now I need to spend nearly 4 times as much to get an adaptor to fit the transfer case to the auto. I will probably beef up the auto because the troopy can get heavy when it is packed for a trip.

The 4L60E has arrived. I'm now waiting for a VS Commodore Series 2 V8 engine loom and ECU (this ECU will be a spare as I already have one), and an NVRAM from PCM Hacking so I can tune the engine. Have to register an old VC Commodore tomorrow so funds are a little short for the next few weeks or so but at least I can get working on the old girl when the other parts arrive. I'll take photos for you then Cruiserdan.
