HG/Head issues

Finally got the right radiator, and got it installed. Started her up, and white smoke was the predominant emission. Pulled the plugs and #5 had a small amount of water on the plug.

Anyhow, Im going to try to get pictures of the whole disassembly/reassembly process. Didnt know if we had a Faq on the 3FE yet.

Last summer I had to put a new head on a 2f that did the same thing. The radiator split at the DS end tank on the freeway. Temp needle shot straight to the red. Turns out the head cracked right at #5. Ended up just doing the whole engine as it was at 275k. I may have some pics somewhere of the R&R on a 2f if they would be of any interest to you... almost the same motor once you get below the EFI.

Yikes, thought the mighty 3fe was kind of immune to this problem. more info on the how and why's it happened, whats the miles on your rig.

Not if it's been overheated. Heat kills; period.
