He must have got some of that butter from the Popcorn on his hands. He dropped one in the end zone after that.

Shrek paid off the bet we made, you guys ought to see what I bought for him for Xmas........stay tuned

Oh geez.... Of course I paid my bet..... Just settin yer sorry arsse up for the playoff loss....

I only remember seeing a "win" column and a "lose" column. Do you Packer fans also keep a "damn near" column?

I was pretty proud of our 'Boys on Sunday. Detroit really put their whole season on the line in one game. They really got up for it. Every team gets really motivated to play the Cowboys, even when they have losing seasons. It is not easy being America's Team. It wasn't as easy for the cowboys to get motivated for that game. They can afford to lose another game and still have home field advantage against the Packers. But the 'Boys came through in the end. I am glad it wasn't a boring game. So there is no shame in barely beating Detroit. In the NFL, on any given sunday, any time can beat any other team.

Will the Packers Coach put Favre in the game the next time they play in Texas Stadium, or will they start the backup? He is 0 and 9 at Texas Stadium.

Only when its Detroit. Thats kinda like beating the "sisters of the poor"

For the record....im a Vikings fan..... Sorta like being a Dallas fan 2 years ago,...

You wont beat GB in the playoffs.....

and what is that opinion based on? Wishful thinking?

only difference, is that 2 years ago, Dallas had 5 Super Bowl trophies on their shelf and the Vikings had zero. No matter how bad they have been, or how bad they will be, those 5 trophies will always be there.

I am a Cowboys fan. My father used to take me to see them play in the Cotton Bowl. But I can not make claims of being able to predict the future. I would think that we have a good shot at winning a playoff game against GB if Favre has to start another game in Texas Stadium.

I will be interested to see if you are any better at predicting the future, now, than you were when you started this thread.

stay tuned!

Yeah, I can relate. The only time I saw the Cowboys play was on the 40 yard line of the Cotton Bowl. The ticket was very expensive, $7.50, a program cost me most of my allowance, $2.00. But the game was good. The Cowboy quarterback, Craig Morton, did okay for three quarters. Then the second string quarterback, Roger Staubach, came in and finished the game. We won, but I forgot who we played or the score. Obviously, not very important to me.

I came to the conclusion that afternoon that no football game is worth more than $7.50 a seat.
;-)
Happy Trails! N

I went to many Cowboy games at the Cotton Bowl. Saw Meredith, Tarkenton, Jorgensen, got Bob Hayes autograph once. My most memorable time was immediately after the game, we threw our seat cushions straight up in the air, like thousands of other did, in victorious celebration. I was immediately arrested and taken downtown, in handcuffs, to the old Police headquarters and held in a cell there at the age of 16. Didn't know it was illegal. The cop said I could have put someones eye out. Came real close to spending the night in the Harry Hines juvenile detention center, but my mother got there in the nick of time and bailed me out. I still don't know if she was madder at me or the cops. I will never forget being led down the main steps at the CottonBowl entrance, in handcuffs and all those people staring at me like I had committed a serious crime. I'll tell you this: I haven't thrown a seat cushion since!

Advantage GB......

Jeesh..... and you won't even ADMIT to being a Packers fan? Come out of the closet, Shreg. Come out of the closet. Dallas fans are civil. You have nothing to fear.

advantage GB? I just checked to see if they had won a "tuesday night game" or somesuch, but no, it is still 12-2 for both teams and the cowboys win the tie breaker because they BEAT the Packers a couple of weeks ago. I am a loyal, lifetime Cowboy fan, but I make no predictions as to what is going to happen, because anything can happen. I can only predict what I hope is going to happen. So put down your pom poms before you wear them out! LOL

drats, we lost to the Giants.

I am rooting for the Packer now with you Shreg.

Not only that but i get to avoid wearing a Cowboys jersey to a Packer bar this weekend, although that would have been fun.

Even though I'm a Vikings fan i have to admit, Brett is hard not to root for. It would be cool to see Brett go out on top....

Romo will get there.....hes only been at this a very short time. Cowboys fans have allot to look forward too.
