Hello, I just picked up my unicorn rig, a 2021 HE in grey. I did some searching and was wondering what people recommend doing with the roof basket.

Ideally I want to add a light bar on the top and side plus an awning. Goal is family camping and some off-road use. We're in San Diego, but occasionally make some ski trips.

If keeping the stock rack, what size boxes are recommended for bulky, lightweight camping gear?

A hitch shelf is off the table due to hauling a bike rack on the rear.

Put it on Craigslist and hope that a HE wannabe or Jeep fan wants it. Or throw it in the attic in case you ever want to use it.

You can do a 40" lightbar on the factory rack. Look up wildyoats bracket. It works well.

We use a xl Thule box when we need the space. It also easily attaches to the factory rack.

I can't speak to awnings on the rack. We have a 270 degree Rhino, but it is on the camper.

Thanks, that's what my friend does with her LC200. I only considered using the basket with pelican boxes since we could take them off when we get to the destination. Plus add the awning plus lights with less cosmetic changes. Thanks for the tips.
