It's the wife's dd for a while...a long while. I'm only planning one "performance" mod per year. By the time it's mine, it'll be ready to go.

year 1: purchase lc and add 285 bfg (aug. 2007)
year 2: add sliders
year 3: ome heavy lift
year 4: front steel w/winch
year 5: rear steel w/tire carrier

That's the main plan. I'd like some drawers in the back and a few electronic upgrades. I'm obviously in no hurry but I love driving it. So maybe I'll get her something else sooner rather than later. ;)

It should be a very capable/good looking rig by 2013! Good Luck and I wish I had your patience.

All it takes is money, right? And, I figure when I get the new house built I'll start working on the 40 so lots of money will be going that direction.

Sliders go on Thurs.

Right now it looks like I am going to be able to make it over there to help you out on Thursday.

Sweet!:beer::beer:

Nice rig...and you have far more patience than I do.

Thanks! The fact that I'm not willing to drop the plastic creates the patience by default. Now, when I get a chance to really get started on my 40 it may be a different story. We'll see...

I registered yesterday. I'm planning on heading up that way Thursday morning. I'll be driving the defender, but probably looking for open seats during the trail rides.:hhmm:

Thanks BZEP for all your help!!!:wrench::beer:

No problem, glad I was able to help out. Also good to finally put faces with screen names. Have fun in Tellico.

Very nice, I like how they are tucked up next to the rocker. Can't wait to see it on the trails!

I love 100s. Its the only place that you will see rags protecting the rock sliders durring instalaiion.

HAHA!!! I know, right?:o That was the concession I made to the :princess:. She said I could put them on, "as long as I don't look like one of those beat up pieces of junk when you get home from Tellico." I tried to explain that a beat up Cruiser is not the same as a "beat up piece." She wasn't having it. But, that's the main reason for the long, drawn out process listed above...it's hers.

Hell, Michael, she's the only reason they were painted in the first place. Now I'm gonna have to paint front and rear bumpers when I get them.
