Well, I just got an email from my mechanic stating that the torque converter as well as the transmission pump need to be replaced. Total bill will be around $3000. I told him to go ahead and do the repairs.
So, in order to pay for the repairs, I have regretfully decided to sell the truck.
For $11 000 o.b.o the new owner will get a 1989 HJ61 with 260 XXX km
It has:
A new torque converter
A new transmission pump
33x12.5x 15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTX tires- 1 year old
OME medium springs- about a year old
Rebuilt starter- about a year ago
Two newer batteries- about a year ago
12HT engine, Factory electric winch with remote. Air conditioning, Tilt, 24-12 volt converter, Sony CD/MP3/Sat. Radio ready stereo, Custom storage platform in the rear that doubles as a sleeping platform. Trailer brake, and 7 pin wiring for 12 volt trailer. Heavy duty roof rack. lower rad hose heater as well as two battery blankets.Very minimal rust spots, so little in fact, that it's hardly worth noting but I am anyways.
I am quite upset that I have to do this but unfortunately I must. This breaks my heart. In an effort to avoid a sale, I will be buying lottery tickets every Wednesday and Saturday untils she sells
I have all the receipts for the work performed on her since I got her.
I will post some pictures when I get home and back on my computer.
Spread the word to your friends and family. Hopefully it will sell quick (or I win the lottery) so that my pain and suffering ends.
