Herculined the lower part of the beast recently because some minor rust was beginning to show in a couple spots. I like the two tone look, but perhaps it would have come out better with a shiny paint.

Looking good! I assume that you used a roller? Keep us posted as to how it holds up. I am planning on doing something similar to deal with rock chips and early surface rust. Still not certain what line I will take along the sides. Yours is the first one that I have seen that did not do the edge of the front wheel well to some extent.

Actually, I brushed it on (very carefully). I'm happy with the uniformity of the texture. A second coat is necessary, but it only needs to be a light one. I did follow the low line around the back and just kept at the same level in the bottom corners of the front fenders. One problem spot is the narrow strip under the doors that's above the chrome trim piece. Pulling off the tape there, I managed to reveal a spot of red here and there that will need to be touched up. Here's the back.

Looks good. I especially like the line you chose on the rear fender well.

I like how it turned out. You went strait when you got to the front wheel I would have followed the line up the wheel well but it looks good, like the color.

looks nice. Hope you treated the rust b/f you coated it.

Yes, with the last of my POR-15. A couple spots on the front passenger door where it'd been slightly dented, and a bit on the very bottom of the rear fender.
Wheel wells are rust rust free.:)

Looks great!

I'm thinking about doing that to mine too though I'd follow the lines around the front wheel as well. Curious that I see this on mostly red cruisers. (Yes, mine is too)

What kind of rear bumper you running?

Not sure about the source for the bumper because it was there when I bought the rig, but I did see the identical bumper for sale a few months ago on this forum by a Canadian fellow and he was calling it an Aussie bumper. It came apart in three pieces when I took it off for POR-15 painting and reinstallation with stainless bolts.

What are the black widgets on liftgate (DS is below newschool Toyo logo)?

Here's the link to the guy selling "my" bumper. Correction: He said that he bought it in Australia. https://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/184679-hj60-rear-bumper-australia.html

The black widgets are rubber dodads similar to the ones on the front doors. Again, they were on the 62 when I bought it. Guess they're supposed to protect against metal to metal damage. Makes sense on the doors, but I don't see the point in having them on the lift gate.
Other than the bumper, the other changes that came with this cruiser that I appreciate are the wood steering wheel and shifter. Will have to take a photo and post them up sometime.

I've seen similar ones on JDM trucks up here. Must be another useful feature (the step) that didn't make it to the North American market.

I'm thinking about going with red bed liner(red cruiser as well).I have a buddy that went with silver spray on bed liner on a silver Dodge and it turned out great. Can't even tell what it is until your about 3 feet away.

Hmm, if that's the case maybe I do my whole truck in it. :D

Seriously I'd like to know more about the color options, what brand, etc
