So Hennessy Performance released this new video for their supercharger kit available for the LC, LX570, Sequoia and Tundra. It also shows a race between stock vs supercharged

Meh. If I wanted to go much faster I would get a Porsche. Not terribly impressed.

Never once have I said to myself, "This thing is a slug, I need more power."

Well, maybe when I tow the boat which is why I'd LOVE the Twin Turbo V8 diesel. Please Toyota bring diesel in the next Land Cruiser in the US.
BTW, as long as I can maintain 55 MPH with the boat in tow AND I can stop I am happy. The 200 is a towing beast compared to our 100.

If this is legit, cool to see that someone is working on a warrantied power kit. I wouldn't mind a bit more power. Have you guys driven a 510hp range rover? It's quite nice and it weighs the same as the LC.

range rover is very expensive and nice looking junk, the suspension and overall ride are rather soft for the power, terrible on bends. gave up on them after i had the facelift 2010 (second one) in an overfinch when i came short of a law suite as lemon law does not quite exist in Europe. TRD SC on the 5.7L is simply awesome and the LC handles it very well; except for the ongoing DTC code issue, soon to be resolved.

Here in the states, a supercharged '13 Range Rover Sport with factory body kit is the same price as = MY LC.

Tough for any suspension to tame 3 tons, right? I don't buy these rigs for their handling capabilities, though quite sat with both the RRS and LC. quite happy to hear you are as well.

the TRD SC is a no go for me as toyota doesn't make it specific to the LC (i.e. no warranty). plus, i'd have to dump thousands into upgrading the brakes which would then limit by ability to run the smaller wheel sizes like 18s which then limit AT/MT tire selection.

My brabus/startech RRS (factory backed warranty, all components OEM designed to handle the additional torque/hp - nice rig, but couldn't trust it for the mid to long-term)

Looks like a stock TRD supercharger to me, what's Hennessy about it?

They charge US$15K for the SC kit or US$3K for the "tune". when you ask them what you get in the "tune" they don't answer you. UNICHIP issue aside, the TRD setup rocks! can't wait to have my DT headers installed next week; will update again

Holy s*** 17K? thats approx Invader money w/ 100 less hp

meanwhile anyone know how Invader managed to achieve an extra 100hp from the TRD unit (pushing a total of 600hp+)?

I would LOVE to own the Invader. SO RARE. Toyota reliability. One-of-a-kind.

But that's Dubai money.

i sent them an email a while ago asking about their ECU re-mapping and still not heard back from them. it's in their "tune", this engine still has more capacity to unleash more bhp, trapped trying to find a way out :)

If you want I have their contact number in Dubai, but I doubt they will share that info unless you actually purchase something.

I dont hate the kit but what I really like about the Invader is the power and their steering wheel upgrade

i would have no issue paying the right amount of money for them to re-map my ECU. i'm in DXB all the time, could bring the ECU with me; presuming they do the work in-house there and not send away

previous RR Sport = Disco chassis with a different body.
there are very good brakes available for the TLC, i personally used the Brembo's, however if you don't want to up wheel-size to 19" or 20" , both stoptech and one other manufacture (info on this forum) make front calipers that fit 18" wheels. Most of the tire companies make large tires that also fit 20"'i.e. 325/60R20

Yet drives completely diff.

Tacoma/4r. Phaeton/Bentley. Touareg/cayenne. All good.
