I have a thump (doesn't sound like metal to metal) sound coming from my front driver's side when I go over bumps/potholes at certain angles. It doesn't make the thump at all angles or when hitting all holes. No sound coming from passenger side. I noticed it more once I replaced the front bumper w a ironman bumper. I attempted to see if it's the bumper it don't move I jumper up on it, I weigh 200 lbs. What am I looking for possible bushings? What evidence would I see if it's a worn bushing?

More info would help. Year? Miles? Stock or aftermarket suspension? Any other recent work done in the front end?

2016, 65k, was stock suspension when I heard the noise after front bumper install. I thought it was due to a heavy person owned the suv the first 30k and switched out to tough dog adjustables. New tough dog ucas. Rides good but at certain angles on certain bumps/holes I will hear a thump. I thought it maybe was the bumper but I jumped on it putting all my weight and it don't budge. Only thing I haven't checked is the bushings. Doesn't pull to a side, turms fine. Just that odd thump.

I would get it up in the air, start prying on bushings. Could be something in the KDSS.

Pull your hood latch lever while driving (not high speed)...see if noise goes away. Mine does that, but more of a creak/light thud. Crack hood, gone. About to start troubleshooting what it is.
