Hello,

While removing the driver feet fuse box to clear the 37s I noticed previous owner "electrical work" and I need a bit of help here to identify this two wires that were spliced.
Would somebody be able to identify what wiring circuit would that be? Or have diagram colour coded ?

Bonus, here is the state the LX is in. It was cheap and rusty enough to not feel bad about cutting it :)

Aah on a phone now so look for EWD (engine wiring diagram) pdf. That should help you trace those wires.

There are electrical wiring diagrams in the Resources forum, 100 series section. You'll need the one for your year model.

@BnvS thanks for the link! Didn't see it before. So, I looked at the wiring, I have 2000 model year (I assume LX/LC have the same wires going) and so far, got to this. It looks like the power is going from the wire running to power the seats, into the solenoid and from there in the steering angle sensor?!

Well that seems highly unlikely...That looks like a transformer wrapped in electrical tape. Is that your question or is it the spliced yellow wire...?

I guess my question would be what does it do? Sends power upon ignition to the yellow wire? The wires are traced correctly based on the plugs I disconnected. Trying to cleanup that mess and see if I can remove that. Wish I can test it, but lots of harnesses disconnected and battery removed for the tubbing work.

I would recommend you do a drawing of the wires in question. Tracing them from whatever wiring harness connector they run to/from. From the pictures, it's hard to distinguish where the wires are coming from and going to. Certainly a transformer in the circuit doesn't make sense unless they spliced it in to provide a different voltage output to something else they added at some point.
