Help to a HDJ100 travelling accross America

Hi,
A friend from France is actually in Utah with an electric trouble.
Not a big deal, he just need a thing we don't know the name...wich doesn't help when you want to buy one
he has 2 battery in his truck, and the "thing" is to connect the 2nd to the 1st, without using the 1st to power all the stuff connect to the 2nd.
The only thing he found so far allows to link the 2nd to the 1st only when ignition is ON, without any separation, but it's not exactly what he had and this would need so change to be done on the actual wiring.
I guess a "split charge system" is what he need, right ?
Where ( store name) could he find that ? (Utah, don't know exactly where yet)

Is he looking for a smart switch system or one that is manual. I posed link to manual switch.

I would have to go look under the hood of mine but there might be some Things (Stock) connected on both batteries. And by installing a automatic battery disconnect, he might cause other problems....

But i'm not sure at all if both battery are being used independantly for something.

I'll go check.

EDIT: yeah LHD battery is hooked to starter, and the RHD battery feed everything else. So i doubt using a disconnect between would work unless a serious wiring. I would try to found a small third battery that i would use with a disconnect.

Anyway feel free to give him my contact info, i kinda know the HDJ100 inside out now.. I'm in Montreal

You're right, I forgot this detail...
The battery #1 I spoke about is the 2 batteries under the hood and he has a third one for the fridge and evrything else he added

The lunar disconnect from equipt1 will do the job.
