help some sort of trim fell out of my sunroof

Hello this morning something fell out of my sunroof and hit me; it came out of the interior shade part between the interior shade and sunroof. Any ideas where this goes back or what? Ok its been raining here overnight and all day today; so I can not open sunroof to see if anything is affected with the operation. The piece is dry and "dusty dirty" so it seems to be a interior part not affected by outside elements. Our weather here is very "pollen ey" so it would have some sort of dirt on it if it came from some sort of outside exposure 'I think" or I hope. I heard no sort of rattle on drive to work and from it being pretty dirty it may have been sitting on the shade for a while?? thanks for any help no leaks as I can see on the inside so far.

found this pic but it does not show any trim piece or am i not seeing it??

maybe number 5 but wouldn't it have a kink in it where its curved???

anyone know how to take off interior shade with out opening sunroof? Don't want to try to open sunroof incase something locks up or gets stuck. Still raining off and on here

Maybe no one knows, no reason to be a jerk. Have you inspected the sunroof and shade yet to see if you can see where it was placed? There should be a track or channel it fits in.
 
not trying to be a jerk; just stating lots of views but no suggestions.

cruiser dan was helping me thru messages but can't identify part thru web pics or diagrams.

thanks sleeper I will try to get to a garage and try the tilt to see if thats it. The drawings don't really help unless its a big piece I guess.
 
Did you ever figure this out? The same thing just happened to me. I was sliding the sunroof closed and this piece fell out.
 
This happened with mine - couldn't figure it out for the longest time. Finally figured it out.

If you open your sunroof and look toward the rear of the vehicle, you'll see a thin black piece of metal. On the top side is a channel - that is where the "arrow head" goes (push it in). The flap then slips over the front edge.
