I had a few wires break on the right hand tail light. Now they are all seperated.

The "red" light - black & red wire and a green & white wire and the ground wire

The amber light - green & yellow wire and the ground wire.

I assumed that like colored wires would be connected to like colors. That did not work well.

The wires from the wiring harness:

Black/white with red marks
Green/yellow
green with red marks
green/white with red marks

So, what gets spliced to what?

The wiring diagram I've looked at leave me lost.

Any help is appreciated.

@jmylie You can throw your frame number into:

And from there confirm that this is correct - I believe 81555-60390 might be the part number for that connector harness.

Here is an Ebay ad from PartSouq for this part:

You can use the pictures of the non-broken harness to compare, if that helps. Just swap whatever part number you find after inputing your frame number into ToyoDIY if the above is not correct. I just guessed based off your signature to use a 1991 LJ77.

Electrical > Rear Combination Lamp > "SOCKET & WIRE SUB-ASSY, REAR COMBINATION LAMP, RH".

Keep in mind there was a substitution for the above part number:
81555-60390 > 81555-60391

Otherwise, the electrical wiring diagram would be explicitly helpful if you can understand how to read it. Don't blame you for being discouraged from that though :)

They say a picture is wortha thousand words

I pulled the drivers side and followed the colors. I was left with 2 wires and assume they are for the trailer hitch.

Lights are working, so we are good to go.

I'm glad you fixed it, but admittedly I provided a different type of tail light harness... Didn't know it was the bumper-style, but I guess the wiring is the same or similar.

Some day I plan to get the "regular" tail lights wired in.
