I finally getting around at assembling my NP203 range box to mate it to my splitcase and need some help. I didn't get instruction with the adapter (no matter how hard I tried) and I'm hoping that someone who's done this before can help me out.

So in this first pic I've got all the parts layed out. I've got the shaft installed on the main gear (with a little bearing grease on the shaft before sliding on the gear), the little pin and the indexed washer.

I'm thinking the next part to go on is the assembly to the left of the shaft held in place with small snap ring above the main shaft. All the washers (flat & lock) and the hex head bolts are to mate the splitcase to the adapter.

I figure the large sealed bearing is pressed in as shown in the below pic with the large snap ring controlling the dept on the bearing.

What I can't figure out is what to do with the spacer ring (to the left of the small snap ring), the 2 black studs, the 2 nuts and the solo hex head bolt (the one standing in the pic). For the guys that have done this build, please help

I had to call Jerry Nichols on this assembly.

Unfortunately, I don't recall how that all went together.

Cam at Iron Pig had that setup on his buggy, maybe he could help.

bustanutley, thank you for the link.

Chicago, I hate having to call Jerry as I did not get the kit from him (got it from Mudrak).

I'll post more help questions as needed. Thanks for all the help

Got a lot of the parts assembled but I'm having a hard time getting the ring shown below to drop onto the front input gear. Anybody have any pointers to help get it to drop.

I just put my 203 together today. I had the same issue..make sure the shifter fork rod is going into the right hole. It needs to be in the home at the end of the shift rod. Its a two part shifter. I can send pics tomorrow if you would like or PM me and I'll give you my number. I am doing a 203/205 behind a 4l60e all mated to a 5.3l

Thanks leviclow. I was able to figure out yesterday. My mistake was trying to put the shift fork rod thru both arms of the shift rod. Then I remembered the rod that goes from the range box to the chain section of the case and dug up the original shifter and saw how that worked. Got it all figured out and was able to bolt it all up.
