Help needed;Truck won' shut off!!! Help! & 24 volt off road lights-bad relay?

**

*Okay;when it rains it pours; Now the truck will not turn off when I turn the key off; Keeps running. Need a way to kill it without hurting it, besides stalling it in gear every time. Would like to find out the real problem and get thru this as I am now in Vera Cruz Mexico... I checked searches but cannot find an asnwer, or how to kill the engine each day after driving. It did not really start this until I drove for long hours heading south...Also I have to replace the relay used by Toyota for the fog/off road lamps on my bj74- I did "searches" and checked www.TOYODIY.com, and CarQuest-no luck.

Wiring up the IPF off road lights, used the stock relay under the hood, from the stock yellow lens fog lamps which were also 24v.

Anyone know the part #? It has 4 contacts-for both lights positive/negative.

I am in Corpus Christi Tx. and crossing the border tomorrow into Mexico for a 6 month trip;Would be nice to have the flame throwing lights working again! Figures...

Carquest guys wanted me to buy their 12v 40 amp relay, with 3 connections-I didn't and thought I would find it on www.TOYODIY.com but see nothing for the fog lamp relays.

Any help appreciated. I can't find a # either in my manuals, or on the old relay?

No more toyota part diagrams @ wwwtoyodiy.com!

Looking for the 24 volt relay/part # I discovered that I could not get any diagrams for my saved automobile (BJ74) and got a message saying something like" Toyota does not want you to be able to fix your used car anymore, and so is concentrating on new car sales" therefore Toyota harassed us enough that we removed all diagrams that may have helped you to find any parts, or identify them correctly"

When my Lightforce 170 quit working ,I checked out relays . You will need a 24v 4 or 5 pin .
The 5 th pin is not needed. Try Bosch.

Thanks! The relay/circuit breaker in now intermittently working if I tap it and move it around. I now have a bigger problem, and will post new thread for advice-truck won't turn off! Need a way other than putting in 4th gear and letting it stall with brakes on...?Or the real cause.

Don't know if this will work for you but here is what the Hella 24v, 5 pin relays look like. Part #87426.

Good luck I hope you get things worked out and back on the road/trail :steer:

Like "BJ71" said, those are the ones i've got as well. If you can't wait try the local "Finning" dealer, i've bought them there before also. Much of their equipment run 24volt lights etc...
good luck!

oh yeah, and hella have most if not all 24V bulbs also
