So Cal, in the hood
Guys,

I have an axle that I just got from a friend. Now, I don't have a picture so I will try my best to decribe it. Should be straight forward.

The axle hub is AUTOMATIC hub, it does not have a turn sytle type of hub (i.e Warn).

Can anyone tell me what year vehicle this came from...

I really wish I had a picture. I'll get my camera and snap a picture today. But if you can help, please let me know.

Thanks for your help.

Howdy! My 85 mini truck came originally with auto hubs. It is also disc brake and the diff is right of center? John

Inkpot,

Will this axle go under a PIG? If so, do I have to do a lot of modifications?
Howdy! It MIGHT. Measure the distance between the spring perches. Brakes will require some work if the Piggy was not disc brake originally. Steering may take some creativity. Maybe a HiSteer setup would solve it. Mini truck axles get used under the back of FJ40's to get a centered rear diff. They seem to hold up OK. Don't know if anyone swapping in a front axle. The DS flange will probably be different. The extra weight of a Pig MIGHT be an issue. You might be better off selling this to someone who wants to go with a solid axle under their IFS mini truck. Regardless, the auto hubs are garbage, so they should be replaced, preferably with Aisin. John
