My Lexus LX470 is stuck in high position and ride is extremely jarring and bouncy. Previously my brakes/calipers were grinding and I replaced brakes all around. Right before getting to the auto shop the Automatic Height Control turned off and car stayed stuck in high position.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Shop doesn't have a scanner to read which codes are triggered.

Did you do the brake work yourself? you could have jarred or moved one of the height sensors by accident...

^^ look for a loose/bent/broken height sensor. You can pull codes by shorting tc and e1 in DLC1 plug, you might get lucky.

edit: these will be C 17XX codes.

No, I had the mechanic do it. It was giving problems before the brake job.

some people pay for that stinking thing to be locked on high, other people pay $5500 for Slee to rip it all out and put OME kit.... I did the OME and would never look back. It rides VERY smooth and well.

I like the stock setting but need it to work

Any other ideas before I run to dealer???

Have you tried Paddo's suggestion above? That's the way to do it.
Anyhow, the most likely culprit is mechanical or electric problem with a height sensor. The rear one is the most vulnerable, and easiest to get to as well.

Can you elaborate on the statement "turned off and stayed stuck in high" do you mean you've been driving with it in H, even though it should automatically lower depending on speed? Or did it raise to H and the off light just start blinking? I take it you haven't pulled any codes and without techstream to facilitate diagnostics you are limited, but not completely without options.
Here's what I'd do: try and extract codes as per the screen shot I posted; manually clear codes anyway to see if you get control back; visually inspect the three height sensors, unplug, clean and reconnect their connectors; inspect and clean the connectors on the leveling/gate valve block on the inside driverside frame rail; verify all AHC fuses are intact and the relay is seated; attempt to lower the vehicle manually using the active height test; you can also do a test to manually actuate the leveling valves to hear them function. I suspect you, or the dealer, will ultimately find a failed height sensor (these can be opened, inspected and cleaned too) that is giving bad feedback to the height control ECU, next on the hit list could be a failed leveling/gate valve assembly or cct that is prohibiting the lowering sequence, next could be loose connectors off the ECU.

$5500??? Maybe with a front bumper, a winch, and silders?

Nah bro, I went with all new Brake Rotors front and rear, New Pads, SS Brake Lines front and rear and a full set of Slee Aluminum Skid Plates. It was a lot. But I was really happy to service/upgrade the brakes and suspension. Best money I've spent on the beast.

I cannot remember another instance of this happening here. SOP when there is a fault with AHC is that it stays in low.
Bummer that this happened and please do report back the gremlin causing this for the benefit of the knowledge base.

My mechanic gave up as there were three codes triggered and we managed to clear one. We are going with a SLEE Old Man EMU kit.
