Below super charger pulley is not lined up perfectly with ac compressor. Should we loosen pulley out to line it up perfectly with AC compressor but is that safe? It starts slipping currently since the SC is a bit more inward.

I wouldn't know. I think my mechanic believes it is. He followed the toyota guide to the letter.

I can't tell from the photo if the plastic pulley needs to go forward towards the radiator or the other direction.

I remembered putting a washer on the back of the pulley to move it towards the radiator in the original install. A few months ago when I had the sc rebuilt, I had to remove the washer to line it up.

Thanks, thats the kind of information my mechanic was looking for before he did the same thing.

Thanks for mentioning that... I am calling the mechanic tomorrow as it does look funny in pics but I don't remember it looking funny in person.

Also, looking at your photo. The pulley that isn't lining up - furthest one or the one below radiator hose, I'm pretty sure should be one of the plastic pulleys with raised sides to keep the belt lined up.

I'll look at mine in the morning.

Is that one a metal pulley? Hard to see from the photo attached.

I didn't touch the pulleys but they looked like plastic to me. The pulley has a screw/adjustment to be brought out but we thought it might break the pulley as it will have less support.

How does one set the boost? Is that done by changing pulleys?

I went over with the mechanic today and he doesn't believe a washer will fit back there. Is there something else that can be done?

He is checking for a different belt.

We still don't have a solution to this problem. If anyone who installed their Super Charger can chime in I would greatly appreciate it.
