I was installing a new radiator this morning (1999 LX470) and was going to drain the block of coolant....when I noticed a connector NOT connected to anything.

It is on the drivers side, zip tied to the wire bundle that goes my O2 sensor (Upstream) on that side.

Looking around....I didn't immediately see anything that it goes to and all vehicle functions seem to work fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Flint.

not saying its not used but there are tons of open plugs on the 100 series for options that may not be on your car. I dont know what that one is

Hard to imagine it would be an open/exposed plug underneath the vehicle? Doesn't sound very "Toyota" like.

On my 80 Series there were a number of unused connectors behind the dash, but even those were plugged and wrapped.

Thank You for posting the parts location, but not really of any help. The position is as already stated (same spot as H5 O2 sensor). Just kind of tied up out of the way. Has factory looking wiring loom, connector end and is a two wire circuit.

I'll try to get a better pic, but if someone is under their similar year model vehicle, take a look and see if you have it too.

@flintknapper , any chance of getting wire colors of 2 leads going to connector? Same question to @bjarnep.

I've got the EWD manual and there are far more than a few connectors with 2 contact cavities. Wire colors should make it a simple search.

hth, maybe.

Yes, when the Wifey gets back with it....I'll crawl underneath and check it. Should have done that yesterday, but was too busy working on the radiator swap.

Thanks for all replies.

Flint.

The plug looks like 90980-10532, used for the oil level sensor on a number of Toyotas. I know we have a oil pressure warning light, but a level sensor? Is it possible, the 100-series has an oil level light in other markets?

OK, didn't put the vehicle up on jack stands, just crawled under best I could. The two wires appear to be (1 solid blue) and (1 yellow with black stripe)?

Don't know if that helps, but I am curious as to what it is. (99 Lexus LX470)
