Help figure out noise near flywheel

I'd guess that the engine is about 1/3 worn, what the oil and vacuum pressures.
Because of the compression numbers? I’ll test again after I solve this issue.
Oil pressure is between second and third line on the gauge. I haven’t tested vacuum yet, but was the very next thing on my list, was gonna do it while tuning my freshly rebuilt carb.

It's right, Georg is very good at what he does. Have you run this past him ?
I actually saw him yesterday at a swap meet but he was busy so I only talked to him briefly.

I saw he has recently posted instructions for installing the rear main seal, where he puts silicon on the outer edge of the main seal. I am pretty sure I didn’t do that, so maybe the rear main seal is rotating with the crankshaft as a result.

I noticed a small leak also, so it’s highly likely I was gonna have to redo the job anyway. Makes me feel better at least.

Update to the problem: the sound was indeed coming from the rear main seal! Thank you guys.

I took the transmission out and all the clutch component, and ran the car with just the flywheel, the sound was still there which confirmed the hypothesis that it’s not from the clutch components.

I took the oil pan out again, changed the rear main seal, making sure this time I put oil on the lips, and high torque silicon on the outer edge of the seal. Putting the oil pan with the engine on the car is no fun, and I’m not sure if it’ll leak or not but that’s a problem easy to diagnose.

It’s running now with just the flywheel and no sounds so far. (Ps: just saw a small drop of oil on the floor 😱)
