I have a stock 99 UZJ100 and the first thing I am looking to do is the lift and tires. What is the best all around amount of lift suggested and what brand tires do you suggest? Initially I am thinking no more than 3 inch lift. Also, what brand suspension do you suggest and where/who should I buy from?

Time to put my Cruiser in her glory days!

First, you cannot lift the front end 3" or higher. About the max you can lift it is about 2.5-2.75". Even at these numbers, you will constantly over extended your front shocks and destroy them faster than at a lower lift. 2.0-2.5" is safer territory. The rear, you can lift a lot higher than the front due to the SA design.

OME for torsion bars and rear coils. What rear coils depends on what weight you plan to have in the rear (cargo, rear bumper, etc)

For shocks, you get what you pay for.
I do not like OME shocks, they have ridden rough on my last two vehicle i have had them on and every vehicle i have ridden in with them.

I have Radflo 2.5s shocks on mine with OME springs and it rides great.

285/75r16s will work perfect with that lift and you will not need to do any other modifications.

what are your goals and intended uses for your Cruiser. Give us so more info so maybe we can be of more help.
