so i just did my first ever engine rebuild on my 76 fj40 up in the school shop this year... unfortunantly the owner befor me didnt use any of the same bolt and hoses were disconnected everywhere but it still ran.. my problem is, it will start and run and drive .. not far. but the carburator is the stock asian one i think and i need help with where the hoese go. example: the vacume advance from the distruibutor goes where? and where there hoese go from the little 2 pronged thing on top of the manifold.. what i really need are photos. if you have this carb hooked up photos would be greatly appreciated, ive waited all winter and i just cant wait much longer to drive this again. my email is conorgray@yahoo.com send them there cause i dont really know how to work this ih8mud thing..also. im thinking of buying a new carb later on.. any suggestions? i was told webers are good but i want simple to hook up but good and truting one to.. please help im up in steamboat springs colorado if your around and know how to hook one up tell me ill trailer it in and pay

None of the vacuum hoses are particularly important except 1: the power valve control. This is on the top of the carb facing the radiator. It gets connected to any manifold vaccum source. There is no vacuum advance on a '76; it is a vacuum retard. These hoses aren't the problem if it doesn't run.
