Terra Grapplers were a close 2nd to the Cepeks I installed on my 80

i found a trd super charger for $4k. what could i expect performance wise from this. where can i find an exhaust for an lc also? are the terra grapplers mud grapplers good?

Depends on what type of wheeling you want to do too. What part of the country are you in as well? You would get some invaluable experience going to a local land cruiser club meeting (Toyota Land Cruiser Assosiaction look at the different forums below to see if they have a forum on here). You could see whats popular in your area. You'd get to see some different tires in person too.

im in florida so there arent many offroading clubs. i have some friends who do it but they have like...wranglers and chevys. i want a supercharger but its $$$. i like the terra grapplers i have seen them and driven with them on. they are ok.(on a wrangler). if i get a supercharger i would get a chip. are there any exhaust systems?

guys, I just wasted 10mins cleaning up this thread.
Hope that's out of your systems now!

I'd rather hope we are all valuing a nice friendly and welcoming environment. If you don't, I hear Pirate has discounts for Real Tough Guys (TM)...!

Thanks to those who addressed ill-advised replies..

Welcome to the forum J126! Yes, you may want to read a lot first, and do some searches before asking questions. Keep in mind also that most folks here are into serious off-roading.

Stay with us, and you'll learn a lot about your new rig. Lots of good people here!

God damn man, your dad already rebuilt the motor, which was not necessary at all!!!!!!! Your already getting a 2000 LC. Your car has a V8!!!!!!!!! Jeez, your still not satisfied? V8 is plenty power. Especially with the gas prices, you don't want to have anything stronger.

Ok, i am working. I have a job 6 days a week 6 hours a day. When school starts again i will be working nights to buy all my car stuff and pay insurance, gas, ect. I like the Slee Lift kit but i dont know which one to get. I decided to add a stereo system, which i will compete with(6 12'' subs) it is all going to be in the trunk. Im not sure if all of that will wieght enough to get the heavy kit but what are your opinions? and is the Differential drop worth it? i have the stock 16'' rims and want to know about tires, i like the Terra Grapplers, and i also would like to know about any after market offroading rims ( like 17'' 18''). I have ruled out the super charger(for now) and the chip but not an exhaust. Where can i find one? thanks for your help(and constructive criticism lol) so far.

Talk to Slee about which lift they think is right for you, they are the experts. As for the diff drop, I think that it is a very good idea because it keeps the CV axles at a lesser angle, and since your LC is full time 4WD they are spinning all the time.

As for tires and rims, several people here have used the Terra Grapplers and been very pleased with them. Most run them on the stock rims, but if you want to see other options check out www.tirerack.com.

Man 6 12's ??? Are you going to be doing SPL competitions or do you just enjoy rattles? :D Get a couple 12's and spend the rest on some other tricks. You can get the Terra Grapplers in 18" fitment so your cool there. You may do better to take care of the system, then you'll know the weight you end up adding. That way if you change your mind with the system, your not stuck with the wrong springs.
