Bought these takeoff from a 2010 tundra for my 99 lc. Tire shop says the hub wont clear. I did some reading here and i am confused. I thought they would bolt on. So.... Can someone post a link ? The studs wont reach thru the rim so how would a spacer work? I am lost:(

Tire shop said the studs would not even start? I got new lugnuts and everything.

@slingblade I been looking at CL for new set of wheel, so I been doing some reading here. I been trying to find out which model that I need to avoid according to what others had installed here. I am just sharing the thread with you. I honestly not sure exactly what the problem is with this particular wheel - I do not own this wheel.

yes @bctlex i would recommend avoiding 2009 and 2010 tundra wheels with the small center cap. it will not fit over your hub. i am screwed. this wheels will not work on the front. they simply will not bolt up cause the center of the wheel is too small.

Running front spacers is not an option?

no @elk the studs wont even push through the holes in the rim. the hub is too big to fit into the recess in this ONE YEAR BASTARD RUN OF TUNDRA WHEELS. Leave it to me to buy the ONLY WHEEL SET WITHIN 4 STATES THAT WILL NOT FIT MY LC.

hey @ponytl i am not sure i follow you, how could i center up the bimetal hole saw in a hole thats already over 2 inches if i needed to bore it say to 2 1/2 inches? i am hopeful to resell the wheels and tires and start over with the knowledge that all tundra wheels will not fit my LC.

I have a set of LC wheels off my 04 if you are trying to get to an 18" wheel. I am in SoCal if interested. PM me.

pretty simple... use a smaller hole saw the size that the center hole is now... create a "plug" that fits into your existing center hole with it... make it out of alum or wood... it will have your pilot hole already in place now use the bigger hole saw... after you have cut/drilled all your wheels .... using the same hole saw you can drill through a wood 1x and wrap it with sand paper (glue it on to the wood) put a bolt and a couple washers through the pilot hole chuck it in your drill and polish up your hole... I've done 4 wheels in less than 2 hours with basic tools and they looked factory when done

pss... after your plug is in place you can/should replace your pilot bit in your drill with a smooth 1/4 rod for cutting your wheels as not to destroy/wear/ mishape your pilot hole... a long 1/4 bolt with the head cut off works. you can sand your plug to fit tight if it's a little oversize the same way by chucking it in your drill... or if it's a little undersize just wrap with tape until it's tight... I know all this is pretty basic but if you are not from the school of "i've done so much with less for so long ... I'm now able to do anything with nothing" then basic info helps...

What hoser said. Just make sure if you go the spacer route get ones like the picture that don't have a lip at the inner bore like the ones Slee Off Road sells. $100 or so should get you sorted with some spacers if you really want those rims.

thank you everyone for your responses. I am going to think about my options for a bit, and i will try to post pics when i make these things work...I could not do it without all of your helpful hints. at first glance it seems the 100 dollar spacers would be the easiest thing to do. hmm

Ok it is settled. I ordered some billet 1.5 inch spacers. Should have them in 3-4 days. Thanks everyone for your contributions. :)

If you still have the option to change your order I suggest you go with 1.25" spacers. I would even say 1" but that may require you to cut a bit off the factory studs - it will be close. Also make sure they are hub centric like the ones from Slee. If not hub centric you may run into balance issues.

I had 1.5 spacers and I think they stick out too far. Your tires may be outside the fenders. Without a lift your tires may also touch the fenders when the suspension compresses.

Anyway, I recommend you go with 1.25" or 1". Maybe someone can chime in on the studs protruding on the 1" spacer. Not an issue on 1.25".
