So I put a post in the FJ40 forum here and they mentioned this club located here in abq. I used to own a jeep a few years ago, but had to sell it and am considering getting a new toy.

Is craigslist basically the best way to find a FJ40 here in abq? I guess I'm just used to jeeps being everywhere and not having to look around like I am currently.

I'm leaning toward a clean frame&body with title to build in my spare time.. If anyone here happens to know where I might look for something either in a rolling chassis, or similar, I'd appreciate any help you can toss my way.

I used to live in Las Cruces and was a member of the club down there that runs the Chili Challenge every year, but moved up here for work and to continue school.

Thanks in advance!

welcome :flipoff2:

there are certainly "resourceful" individuals in this group, they can pipe up if they like. that being said, you can't go wrong with CL on your own. of course you have heard of searchtempest.com? if not, google and then oogle, far and away a great way to make CL more than just ABQ if you are up for some kind of a drive...

good luck!

CL is good. when stuff comes up there or other places, it usually shows up in our for sale thread. so keep an eye out there too.

and welcome!

That searchtempest site was new to me, didn't find anything else locally unfortunately.

I have a friend here in Santa Fe with a couple for sale. One is a really clean 1969 all set up for a v8. Has a lift, disk brakes at all 4 corners, power steering, other nice stuff. The other is a 1971 stock, relatively clean rig that is perfect for a buildup. No engine tranny in that one either. Send me a pm and I'll put you in touch with him.
