Hi all! Fantastic forum here.

I am adding a 1999 LC to the stable this week. I located a very clean 195k white/tan example that will be a great fit. It appears to be fully loaded with the rear diff lock.

It is a 2 owner truck (this owner since 99) and lived in the Berkley area until moving to Tahoe a few years ago. It has an amazing service history, 100% dealer maintained (every 5k miles from new) with all records intact. The only question mark, I don't believe the transmission fluid has been replaced. I will do that right away.

I know the 2000+ trucks seem to be more popular with the electronics, but I am pleased to have good old fashioned locking diffs.

Gradually I would like to strengthen the truck for camping/light off-road use. Lighting, protection, etc.

I have owned a couple of jeeps (including a '12 rubicon on 35's) and a lifted 67 bronco, but nothing quite like this.

Also, the truck needs tires (I see this as a good thing as I can select proper tires) and I believe I will go to a 33.

Anyway, I pick up on Thursday, so pictures to follow. I am glad to be a part of the community!

Totally!! I read your build thread the other night- amazing work! I didn't realize you were building and selling them.

I travel to sac frequently and could swing by grass valley anytime!

Welcome! If all it needs after 195k miles is a transmission fluid change, you've found a good one! Enjoy :)

I suspect it will need some refreshing as well- I plan to go through all of the suspension bushings and update the shocks at a minimum.

Looks great! I like the white.

I have the same truck...now with 185K. Mind throwing out a ball-park of what you paid for it. I'm wondering where mine might fall in the market!

Welcome!

Ditch the factory running boards.... it's a great (and FREE!) first mod!!! :)

Or paint em black and they almost disappear. :)
welcome to the white cruiser club.

DanReno,
I think I saw your new wagon on craigslist this past week. I just picked up a Mahogany Pearl one from Reno. I'm sure you saw that ad too. The PO said she got a lot of inquiries. Congrats on your new purchase!
