Hey Schotts- see my suspension setup in my sig. Do you think adding a 30mm spacer would be bad?You will have an unbalanced ride. Soft up front and stiff in the back. Either add spacer to rear or OME T-bars with 865's.
Disregard Slee's recommendation when it comes to what fits with what. He is very conservative on this (understandably). Believe the results from members on this. No lift is needed (as I said before) to run 33-inch tires.

yes w/o losing comfortWhat's the purpose? More lift?
Honestly, the 100 rides so nice in stock form that it's a shame to compromise it with harsh riding around town. When I had the OME's in, it was a blast to drive only when it was completely loaded up, which was quite infrequently. It suuuuuucked the rest of the time. It is not, and never will be, a sports car, so I'm not after the tight, stiff handling of such. Like I said, there's either something else as yet unidentified with my truck that makes for an overly harsh ride, or people are skeered to admit that they lift they just spend money on looks cool, but rides like crap. The specs on the 865's don't lie - you need 50% more weight to compress them the same amount - hence why the shorter OME spring results in lift at rest compared to OEM. Again, only applies to empty-ish trucks, and not ones with F/R bumpers, winch, drawers, etc.yes w/o losing comfort
I gotta come ride in some of your guys' "stock", empty rigs with the OME that y'all say ride just fine. Mine about knocked my fillings out when empty and the OME 865's/OME t-bars with no weight. And with "no weight" I mean I have Slee sliders, TJM front bumper, third row seats in, and 4 people. Either there's something else wrong with my rig, or everyone that says the ride is stiffer and rides "just fine" would think my FJ60 on add-a-leafs rode "just fine" tooHonestly, the 100 rides so nice in stock form that it's a shame to compromise it with harsh riding around town. Great choice IF and UNTIL you add a rear bumper...then you'll want heavy springs for sure.
Adding 20mm to the rear with 865's you can run 315's (and L-shocks if you like).
Adding 30mm is better yet though you'll have a tad more rake when you max out your front bars at 2.75" lift.
Your ride will be the same.
Just to clarify... "Sport Cruiser" means that the 20 MPH speed humps are made unnoticable at 45 MPH+, and that expansion joints will rattle the coins out of the pocket by the shifter...UNLOADED TRUCK:
OEM--CUSH
OME (865 and T-bars and STANDARD OME shocks, firm ones OK...NOT Sport versions)--STIFF CUSH, better controlled with less lean, drives like a Sport Cruiser. [:>)
...
- but it won't lean at all in the turns!Just to clarify... "Sport Cruiser" means that the 20 MPH speed humps are made unnoticable at 45 MPH+, and that expansion joints will rattle the coins out of the pocket by the shifter...- but it won't lean at all in the turns!
Next time your up in the Phx area, give me a shout and come drive mine around and see if there is indeed a difference, or if we're not calibrated on "cush". Even with 865's, there's no way the ride is the same based on spring rate. 'Course, who knows? Maybe there's something else wrong with my rig, but with the OEM+ spacers (and airbags) on it now, it is indeed back to cush. Not sure what else could have been contributing to my harshness. Body mounts are not loose, bushings look good, etc. etc.Nope! Unloaded and even with the Sahara Bar back in 2001 the 100 was still a CUSHMOBILE.
Eval on that here. Go to Post #5:

866's are my pick. Great when empty, and great when loaded down inside
air bags. What should I run if I tow my boat 3 times a year over 6 hours and about once a week during the summer about 15 minutes
I have no mods right now currently stock.

NO lift is needed to run 33's on the 100. I'd not want to drive an unloaded 100 with my Heavy springs. I'd lift via rear spacer and front t-bar crank until you add weight. Once the weight is on then add the OME lift.
