you need heat in that thing?? Why, its not much colder than the island is it?? LOL:flipoff2:
Seriously though, you could try a couple things, thermostat, bleed/burp the system, let it warm up with the cap off to get the air out of it and fill up as needed. I've also had plugged lines on my little '87 4runner, remove clean em out/replace em'. Don't forget to get all that lint and dog hair out from in front of it. Intake in front of the dash might be clogged also... yadayada
good luck!

have you checked to make sure that the valve that sends coolant to the heater core is openning? if it is stuck or the cable broken it won't open.
i had to open the valve manually on my first cruiser.
also if you are way too low on coolant it won't pump through the engine, i assume that is not the case, if you are driving the truck.
also be careful if it turns out you have a plugged hose or circuit, when trying to blow the blockage though with either water or compressed air. they don't run much pressure and it isn't hard to blow things up.
hth
:banana::wrench:

Also heater cores can get air locked. So make sure you run the motor up to running temperature with the cap open. Squeeze the heater hoses that go to the heater core, check if they warm up or if any coolant is present.

alrighty, will continue to try and burp the system.....thanks guys

i have heat again! thanks guys

What was the problem air pocket ,stuck valve, clogged lines or core,come on don't leave us in the dark we need heat too Brrrr its cold.... not its a balmy 10 degrees here.

From the linked thread, looks like it was just lots of air, and it was worked out through further running of the engine.
