Heater blows hot only

My heater decided to blow hot air only, no cold, no a/c.

Its not a thermostat thing right?

I had to maneuver the dash a bit the other day - could it be the flexible rubber hose going into the rear of the heater control unit has come loose? Seems odd, but its the only thing I can think of right now.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. It seems that its been one thing after another lately

Check the mixing valve on the engine firewall above the valve cover. If its stuck open youll only get hot air.

Yes, I googled and found that same vid. Thanks very much indeed for posting it.

Out of curiosity, what is the function of the rubber hose that leads into the back of the dash contols? Is it an intake for sampling cabin air temp?
