Headlights issue

problem solved!!! thank you so much guys, i really needed to know where the wiring went and what pole it was on. found it right by the horn and the wire was broken at the connector, the PO had a green wire coming off the battery negative going down to the RB wire, but the green wire was corroded at the connector and just pulled out.

My question now is what amp fuse to put in the inline fuse?

I had the same problem. It was a shoddy crimp connector under a great looking bit of heat shrink tubing coming off the little wire of the high side negative battery terminal. I never would have suspected from looking at it that wire went over to the other side of the truck to the right headlight without this thread. Thank you! I must have pulled this wire loose while adding/converting to power steering over the winter. It was driving me nuts.

BTW: where is the headlight dimmer relay physically? Is it under the dash somewhere? A PO made it hard - everything under the dash is painted red - including most of the wires. I see several boxes with connectors but have no idea what anything is. I searched and found a guy who posted the answer to this in 2006-2007 “10 times” but he posted a link that’s now bad instead of the picture.
