I have hid conversion made with Lexus hids. They work great for all but anybody coming in the opposite lane. They are just too bright. I can't adjust them down anymore. They were done by a guy who does a lot of them in California. But now the cruiser is in Montana. So I think I am going to go back to stock lights. I haven't dug into it yet but is there a wiring harness available from Toyota? What about that piranha super loom? I would like to plug and play back to stock. What do you guys think? Thanks!

If it is simply PnP (bulbs and ballast) the OEM harness should still be in the engine bay. I hope the installer did not cut that up. If indeed the installer chopped up the OEM harness you could simply purchase a aftermarket relay harness. If you like the brightness of the HID setup, and would prefer to keep it, but minimize glare to oncoming drivers, you should consider a HID retrofit. Where you put HID projectors in the headlights.

Yea it does have the projectors. I have been turning the screw on top but was just told there is one on the bottom too? The stock harness did get chopped up. Maybe I'll remove them and look.... If so they would be nearly impossible to adjust on the car.

The Piranha Super Loom is simply a plug and play enhancement for the existing factory wiring.
It plugs into the existing wiring and uses that to trigger new relays that then return the volts back to the headlights via 6mm instead of the factory 1.5mm wire.

If you are going to use the factory headlights then this mod is well worth while. Significantly reduces the voltage drop to the light bulbs therefore a very noticeable boost to light power (like 9v back up to 12v).

Thats what I've done to my rig and its perfect for suburban and motorway driving. A couple of HID spotties for outback driving and I'm covered.
