Headlight Covers

84FJ60: I have seen several cruisers with wire mesh headlight covers. They look like they have three contact points that connect to the stock (round) headlight housing. I have looked everywhere, but cannot find any? ??? Just something more to add to my Cruiser. Any help?

SOR had them, but they quit selling the round ones (musta quit making them). The rectangular ones are still available.

You can also get them from http://www.victoriabritish.com/ - catalog # 9-265 for chrome for $12.95 - that's where I got mine. I painted them black over the weekend (which is a bonus, I think. If I decide I want chrome later, all I have to do is clean them up and I'm good to go.) - The set I got have 6 clips each.

As long as you get them for 7" headlights, you're good to go. (never thought I'd be ordering parts for my Yota from the same place I get stuff for my TR6 from)

Get them anywhere that has Jeep accessories. You can find them in black, chrome, or stainless finishes. Search Froogle or google for "stoneguard" "rock guards" etc etc. They are everywhere. I recommend looking locally as quality in the clips that hold them vary greatly. (Specter's are brittle and break quickly).

I searched forever for the small square ones and finally broke down for Specter's shipping and handling. I'd found some on another site before but could never find that site again.

I don't have them on, but when i go down to the garage tonight, I'll snap a photo of them for you. They were only 12.95+ shipping. The clips are stout, too.

here's a shot of mine - I cropped it in so you could see some detail. Like I said, I painted a set of chrome ones so that I can back out of the deal if I want to.

Yeah, it's cool - but I was thinking about updating my avatar anyway. I want to take a more abstract shot of the 60 - someone with a green-brown 40 did that and it was really, really cool.
