I'm heading to Stockton on Friday to pick up a used OME setup from Georg @ Valley Hybrids. Daphne and I are going in her Mazda mPV so not a lot of extra room but if there were any small items you needed to get that he has available I'd bring them back for ya....as long as they fit! :D Plus, you do have to pay him for 'em first so not much time left. Sorry I didn't think to post sooner. Think what you might need that he has a good price on- leaving here early Friday morning, Chris.;)

96* predicted for Stockton tomorrow. Gotta pump my own gas again....phuk!

Practically threw my back out just loading that stuff in the van. Had no idea the springs were so heavy. Lots of wire brush work and paint before I can get these installed. Georg recommended NOT blasting them to keep the media out from between the leaves. Guess a wire wheel on a good drill then a rust treatment and paint..??? :meh: Your suggestions welcome.

Have all the shackles, pins, shocks, new bushings and u-bolt flip kit for front and back. I've also had enough of big city freeway driving for awhile! :steer::bang:

If you had a bit of time, disassemble the leaves, clean with a wirebrush or sandpaper and paint with this stuff. Mainly sand rust, don't worry about the paint- you want that..

There are other brands and one might be had locally. I think rust protection and slippage are the two main things to look for.

Thanks Kief!

Don't think I have time to tear down the packs. Gotta wire brush as best I can and get going!

Finally started putting the wire wheels and sanding discs to the OME set. :hillbilly: Pain in the Azz for sure but it'll hopefully be the last time I have to mess with those again. I wanna get it done in time to maybe make the Prerun in June. Sand, wire wheel, sand some more- lots of work. Gotta do it. Feels good to be doing something instead of being a bystander!! :D

Excellent Chris. I too hope to make the prerun, Haven't been able to work on my truck for a month or more.
Keep up the forward progress. :steer: Glass half FULL!

Look forward to seeing you both there. Maybe even in my own LC lol.
