Heck yeah!

15th will be Hearst Castle, Monterey.
16th Oakland, Frisco, Tiburon
17th thru ? will be Oregon

Its kinda open ended. For us we MUST see Crater Lake. Everything else is cake. I know you guys have some fantastic waterfalls. :D

Waterfalls is more on the coast, there's quite a few on there, but going up 101 would be quite a bit out of your way, and much longer.

Lesse....17th is a Monday. What day are you wanting to go see Crater Lake? I'll see if I can get it off.

Make sure you see the Natural Bridge on your way up to Crater Lake. You'll drive right past it, and it's worth stopping and taking a look (it's a pretty short hike in and out).

Other than that, there's tons of lakes, camping, fishing, rafting, etc up here. All depends on what you want to go do/see/etc. Got any wheeling in mind? ( I know of a great "easy" run with just a tiny bit of clay. :hillbilly: )

The path we take to Glacier/Yellowstone can be altered all day long. My best friend is in Seattle so I promised I'd visit him for at least a day. Other than that totally open. Natural Bridge sounds good as does some wheeling. By easy, do you mean WITH belly pan installed easy? :flipoff2:

Well the place that I went, everyone needed to get winched up. Of course it had been raining so the clay was incredibly slick.....I still have clay stuck up in places I can't get it out. It took me weeks to even get it reasonably clean, and ruined my front calipers. :frown:

There's the McGrew trail, which is a pretty easy run. Long if you do the whole thing (heck, long if you do half of it). There's a nice sluice though at the end that's a fun little adventure, and Sourdough on the Smith river is a pretty cool place to go swimming. Even doing the back half of the trail is a good full day run (the whole trail takes about 6 hours to run, even running the forest service road in and out to the campground is about 2 hours each way).

What else do you have planned while up here? I think the Shakespeare festival should be going on. Producing such fine actors, such as William Shatner. :D

If you are driving up the coast from SF add at least a full day to what you think you need. Head inland at the Smith River a stunning piece of water with great camping at Jedadiah Smith State Park.

The Salmon are just starting up the Rogue River on the coast if you want to catch one. I am guiding on the 17th and 20th otherwise I would be in for a bbq. I might even be able to dig up some elk steaks:grinpimp:. If you like whitewater rafting the upper Klamath is a must do day trip call Matt or Leslie at Kokapelli, tell them Steve Eadie sent you: Oregon Kayak Classes and Retail Paddle Sports Sales: Whitewater and Sea Kayaking in Ashland.. Easy to do that and a bbq in one day from Medford or Ashland. The plays in Ashland are world class.

Posted a reply on your main thread, basically looking for when you will be in the Grants Pass area and if we need to help set some stuff up for you as in reservations or planning for a get together.

A get together in the evening is all I will be able to do that week..... I got summoned to Jury Duty that week! :( lame.

Just wear a wife beater and some docs and you will be excused early each day :D

I call shenanigans!
Is this because you don't want to man the BBQ? :flipoff2:

I said bad things to get out of jury duty. Worked every time :D

Hmmm..... I like those ideas. ;) :D

Look forward to your arrival, I may be wearing my docs and the wife beater saying very bad things! at least you'll know who arrived late to his own BBQ :p

Tell them you know somebody that runs an Inmate fire crew, then look at the defendant and ask if he knows how to run a saw?. If he says yes, Guilty. If he says no, then he can swing a tool instead.

Josh

Just wanted to say thanks a million to EVERYONE!

My son is asking me where we can get Elk in LA. I just laugh.
