Can someone who has had the front differential and steering rack both out at the same time let me know if that will make my upcoming header install easier?

I have to remove my front diff to repair its forward mounting location on the frame.

While that's out I will be replacing my leaky steering rack.

While those are both out I'll be doing my front wheel bearings and lower ball joints.

I have cracked OEM manifolds on both sides. If they will be much easier with everything else out I'd like to go ahead and change those too. If it won't make much difference I'll probably save them for later.

Thanks much for any input.

It won't make a world of a difference to have the differential out and the steering rack out. You will have some more room for sure, but the key to removing the manifolds is to unbolt the engine mounts and jack up the engine an inch or so.

Thanks for the quick input.

I will keep the headers on the back burner for now since the other disassembly won't help me much/any.
