Ok here is the question. 1975 FJ40. I have all my running lights working and blinkers. When I turn on the head lights all the running lights go out. Is this a head light switch problem or something more. Thanks

switch.......... pull it down and give her a once over with a test light.........

ok the reason for the running lights going out was the switch. Funny thing is the head lights dont come on. I tell you it is never ending. They worked yesterday before I instaleed the new turn signals but I dont see how that could have anything to do with the head lights. Any Ideas

It really does sound like a ground problem. Try this: Hook up one side of a pair of jumper cables to the negative battery terminal and to the body. This will ground the body (and everything that is grounded to it) If your electrical problems are suddenly cured, then all you have to do is run some good ground straps.

Head lamps and running lites are on separate circuits. Did you lamp-out the switch as suggested above?

crap its the switch thanks for all the help.
