HD Theater: Wreck Rescue '81 FJ45LWB -

Anyone watch this on HD Theater last night? A guy in the UK restored an '81 FJ45LPB for an overland trip to SA. Ended up with a defender 110 PU bed and cool custom canopy, apparently Cruiser parts are hard to come by in the UK. It was episodes 9 & 10 if you get a chance to catch it (they are always showing re-runs on this channel).

This was on several months ago. LR bed is blasphemy. Story never covered whether he made (or still afford) the trip.

No worse than most of the flat beds I've seen on 45s That second link tells the story from the shop owners prospective, looks like he's DDing it and never made the trip. Guess it was just cool to watch them tear into a Cruiser on TV, usually only see it my garage or in pics here ...

The green BJ45 in which they drive in The Netherlands is owned by mij father in law, Paul Cornelius. It is 1 HZ powered and we are restoring it tot better than new condition.

As you could see in the episode, they were impressed with the car. Paul is first owner since 1981

I have a 1982 HJZ45 myelf, also with 1 HZ. It is mine since 13 yrs.

No LR parts on our cars...
