Strange issues with lights, this all started after I got back from the Stargate in Antartica... truck worked fine before I left? But I need to get it inspected and it will not currently pass.

So four major things:
  1. Headlight wiring harness doesn't work
  2. Ignition key wire connector to starter is sketchy
  3. Tail lights messed up
  4. Parking brake light always on
The priority on that list is to fix the things that will fail inspection. That would be #3 & 4.

#3 might be very simple to fix. There's a little push button switch under the parking brake handle that turns on & off the light on the dash. Remove the fake leather/vinyl parking brake handle cover and check out the switch. Fiddle with it. Maybe it's just jammed shut with dirt.

Since your headlights work with the oem harness, the problem is either the harness is messed up or it was maybe hooked up wrong? If it has an integrated fuse, could the fuse have blown?

okay, found this thread and followed these steps
Tail & Rear Running Lights FJ60 Not Working

so the ground in the back is good! nice and shiny, I checked all the rear connections in each side of the rear panels, dusty, but all terminals are brass and shiny!
I found the tail light relay under the drivers side dash, although I have no idea how to "test" to see if it's bad or not, all fuses are good, have no idea how to test the inline fusible link, but I'm getting power to the back of the truck, so I doubt that is the issue... really don't know where to go from here????
