Have you seen the HJ60 on Portland CL?

Thing about the "dual citizen" registration... it's temporary and non-transferable. I have a good friend who's a dual citizen and lives here in Seattle who was willing to register a BJ74 for me. No dice. She could register it here but not sell it to me once she had. It had to go back to Canada. Nobody at the DOT is tracking vehicles with this status very closely so... the HJ61 has "legal" tabs and was imported "legally." That doesn't mean that if you came across the wrong public servant at the wrong time they wouldn't seize the truck and destroy it. My point is you would likely be fine with this rig until it reaches it's 25th birthday and then who cares? You just have to be willing to take the risk that you run into the wrong guy out there...

If it is a 1989 HJ61 then it is not one originally sold in Canada as the last year for the HJ was 1987 and then they went back to gas engines for 1988 & 1989 then stopped importing any LC's to Canada

Right. It's a JDM.

I've never seen that green HJ-60 in Eugene. I thought I had seen all of the Cruisers in this town.

If it had been, there would be no trouble importing it. The
JDM is where the import stuff gets fuzzy, or rather frayed. Theres a bunch of writeups on importing in the faq.

That HJ60 has been all over cl for forever, its butt ass ugly, looks like a eddie bauer ed. ford explorer!

Funny description. :)

True. I have seen that one a while back on Ebay also. Would love to know the story on it.
