Has Anyone tried the Grip Tite Socket?

I have been trying to take off a striped O2 sensor (the one close to firewall) from my 01 Sienna minivan. It is in a very tight space and makes the matter worse - an inch next to it, there is a bolt or something alike which makes no room to swing a vise grip.

I saw the Grip Tite socket at Amazon.com and am wondering whether it could be effective for the application.

Any help would be truly appreciated. I don’t want to **** this up.

Did you try a proper O2 sensor socket? I have one that grips it from the side, pretty slick.

Someone gave me one of those things years ago. It went into the trash the first time I gave it a try.

Also heat it up to red, spray with something, repeat a few times. It always helps with getting the stuck oxygen sensor out.
