Price is a little high in this market. Looks clean (intact leather?). If he'd take $7k I'd nab it in a heartbeat (assuming it's in as good of shape as he claims).

Yup, make a low $$ cash offer. I thought about that but really don't have the time. Definitely do the homework, carfax/mechanic insp. etc..

I'm not sure what it sold for but he told me he needed to get $9,100 to meet whatever financial crisis he was having. Anyway, I hope somebody got a good deal on a nice rig.
$9100 actually isn't bad. '96-'97 still books out for around $11k-12k (at least according to Progressive when they booked mine out, after initially insisting that it was a write off).
Of course just depends on what you're willing to pay for it.

I emailed him - he said it was not sold but needs to by this evening. So its still available if someone wants/needs it.
afaik, the special had two tone seats... I saw all one color in the pic..
The 40th Anniversary's had the 2 toned seats. The Collectors Edition didn't.
