This would be a nice addition to my 55 some day if it is possible. I sure hope this thread finds a usa version application. There has to be some shop doing this somewhere in the us. Would be a great kit if there was one!

Check out the westfalian tops for the VW. You may be able to find one in the junk yard. I have one and it is very simple design . It will work with only minor fabracation. I will probably install mine on top of my roof rack . I have a fj45camper that sleeps 2 inside . But I want to have both options .Good luck

Can you give me the dimensions of your Westy poptop. Gutter to gutter that is and Length. If its not too much to ask close up photo's of the linkage would be nice , at your leisure of course.

For now this is the plan, nothing has been cut as of yet. Measure TWICE cut once. I still have to bounce ideas of other MUDers. I'm still gathering info and pics.

can't you just cut a hole in the bottom of the RTT and add a hatch in the ceiling of the cruiser? instant pop-top!

Asking the question "Has anyone done this?" is very hard to answer when there is nothing else to go on? I see later thee are RTT and campered LC's, but no idea what you're asking about.
