Harmonic Balancer (1 Viewer)

Hell, having some problems with removing the harmonic balancer, does the bolt come off clockwise or counter clockwise? also, we rented the puller from autozone and were not sure how to use it

Righty-tighty, lefty-loosy, just like any other standard screw.

Try putting a wrench on it and fixing the end of it to the frame, then hit the starter moter (well, if you have things hooked up).

The puller works after the nut is off: two bolts into the screw holes on the harmonic balancer, then turn the center screw on the puller to push the HB off of the crankshaft.

thanks dave, now the engine is fully apart with the cam and crank shaft out. tomorow we will take it to the manual car wash and clean the head and block.
