mark, i have been there for 4 days the last 2 years....im not an expert...but there maps are 100% excellent. i have been all over the park normally leaving camp and not returning the entire day. i will be driving my jeep down - no trailer- so i wont be attempting lions den or anything that ruff but i will be down to go to any of the obstacles with everyone. i have a campsite up the side of the mountain. there is an upper primitive lot and there is good camp spots down at the lower level that offer water/electric hookup....they have good shower facilities also.....it cost about 30 bux to purchase a 31 day riding pass.....excellent time to be had by all

ive been there twice and the maps are very good. its a big place but its hard to get lost. its a dry county so make sure you pack enough drinks. cant wait to go, i need to get my ass out in the garage....

I am out for sure. The only people I could swap with can't. One guy in Florida that weekend & the other just flat said no......Dick....
really wanted to do this. Maybe next time.

That sucks that you cant make it Tony. John and Joe what day are you planning on heading down? I have the 16th to that sunday off (16-20). Camping i assume, i can bring my weber grill with although it may be easier to toss it in the bed of the tundra or on the trailer :D and hope some tweaker doesnt steal it whilst wheeling.

I'm going to get off work at noon Friday at the lastest. Will try try to get off all day Friday if possible, not likely though.

Ok so 40 checked out, no major issues. So I AM IN. So Putney trailhead? Is there only one campground there? Anyone have an address for this campground? You know for the GPS. Because I'll get off work early Thursday, about 3:30, and drive down from there. This puts me there well after dark, and from past experiance I can only guess that cell phone signal is not the best in that area. Also when is everyone heading home?

there is campground address...they have eletric/water/rv sites on the lower level at the entrance, then there is no amenity primitive camping in a couple different spots.
i plan on leaving first thing on sunday.

I have not been able to get the 80 ready, it's close but not close enough. Still have to get it cut all the way, front bumper finished, bumpstops dropped, and at that point I'm still running 40's on stock shafts. I can probably get it buttoned up this weekend, so it will be ready for badlands, but not Harlan.

never a dull moment wheeling in canadas mexico!

trip highlights: bill slapping white tail crawl with his purse
nate owning a hill climb in reverse
the release of the porno that was shot at the campsite across from ours...
