I have had rare and much needed dwell time from work so I have been capitalizing on (free time) to work on my neglected 40.
Before posting pics I will give you guys a quick rundown of the events that lead to this particular project.
Back in November I posted the 40 on the classifieds add on mud to sell it. Well I was contacted by a guy in Georgia that was interested in trading me an 80 for my 40. We worked out the details and decided to meet halfway.
Jason and I made it to the South Carolina/ North carolina Border before disaster struck. My hard top flew off and there was no sing of it on our retrack. So without a hardtop the deal was off.
I tarped up the 40 and abandoned it in the backyard due to work requirements.
During the holidays I was able to fix the transfer case issues. This reignited the spark to get the cruiser to pull daily driver duties.
Fast-forward to about 2 weeks ago. I located a new hard top in perfect condition. I was able to get it and it sat in the garage until the "snow storm" this past weekend.
With the help of Jason and another friend I was able to get the top on the 40..
So enough talking.
This is the old hard top.

Im enjoying driving it with out the rear covered. I have wagon doors that will be replacing the half doors in the next week or so.

Looks great Del - well done.

That's a weird story - could've been a nightmare. Nice recovery! Looks good Del.
